Village and a recreation area under the water reservoir Sance, lies upon the biggest Beskyd’s river Ostravice. A Baroque building from 1789 has been kept in local part of town called Hamrovice. On so-called “Dabelsky ostrov” there is cottage of the Czech poet Petr Bezruc from 1935- today’s museum. There is a destination of railway line from Frydlant nad Ostravici in the village. Ostravice is a touristic starting point to the Lysa Hora mountain and the Smrk mountain. There are skiing-tows nearby.
